PopPhone Revision History File:
Copyright (c) 1993, Russell B. Hildreth
Version 2.05 - May 24, 1993. Modified the Edit function to
resort the records after an edit, so that any changes to the
name field cause the record to be located in the proper order.
Version 2.04 - April 1, 1993. Minor cosmetic fixes. Added
undocumented Search function [Alt-S] for beta testing: searches
the Name field for first match in file order; case insensitive;
allows up to 59 characters for searching.
Version 2.03 - March 14, 1993. Fixed problem with video
popup over graphics modes. Fixed problem with sort routine.
New insertion sort routine implemented, which should be faster
in some situations. Fixed problem with disk swapping when no
extended/expanded memory is available.
Version 2.02 - January 15, 1993. Now loads itself high on
machines with extended and expanded memory, for far less memory
usage.
Version 2.01 - January 10, 1993. Now supports unlimited number
of database entries, by storing only one entry in memory at a
time. Added full address and comment blocks. Reduced memory
usage from 60k in version 1.3 to 59k.
Version 1.3 - May 25, 1991. Added Dial and LetterKey functions.
Author's new address in shareware distribution release.
Version 1.2 - August 16, 1990. Color scheme revised to include
red message boxes; F6-Print command implemented; experimented
with different methods for printing the highlight bar onscreen
(all seem to produce the same poor results - the bar is just too
long); PHONE500.EXE introduced for the first time (identical to
PHONE.EXE, except for increased 500 entry limit).
Version 1.1 - August 3, 1990. Added color and changed the
location of the data file to the directory that PHONE.EXE is
located in. Previously the PHONE.DAT file was always stored in
the root directory of the boot drive. PopPhone now looks in the
same directory as itself for the .DAT file. If a user places
the PHONE.EXE file in the \DOS directory, the program will
expect to find a corresponding .DAT file there. If it is not
there, it will create a new one.
Version 1.0 - Original release, January 1990.
